Community Health Program
BrossCare launched a pilot project in Burnaby to support seniors who were falling through the cracks of the healthcare system. Working directly with Korean-speaking seniors, BrossCare co-designed seminars, provided on-site nursing, and offered weekly in-home support. This summer, thanks to a grant from the Metro Vancouver Parks Foundation, BrossCare was able to bring 30 seniors to Burnaby Lake Regional Park! Seniors enjoyed a guided nature walk, traditional Korean games, a photo booth, food, prizes, and time to socialize with eachother, staff and volunteers.
It was a wonderful opportunity to be in nature, build friendships and create lasting memories together.
